- Open Start Menu >> Run, copy regedit and press Enter.
- Navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer.
- In the right pane, find the NoDrives key, if it doesn’t exist, create one, otherwise skip step 3.1 regarding 3.2. Right-click an empty space in the right pane and/or re-select 32-bit DWORD. Name it NoDrives.
- Double click on the key named NoDrives and set the value to close a specific drive, for example drive E: will be hidden.
Select the radio button labeled “Decimal” first, and even enter 16 to hide drive E:

Note. You may need to restart Windows for the registry setting to take effect and the drive to become hidden.
